Major League Soccer is one of those sports that is gaining momentum in the national sports arena. New York is proud to call the Red Bulls their home team, and the major team sponsor is happy to promote them at every opportunity.  The team was originally called the New York/New Jersey MetroStars, then later just the MetroStars, and changed again in 2006 to the Red Bulls when purchased by (you guessed it) the same company that makes that energy drink we all know and love.
